When you get stunned, you see small stars above you. As long as they are visible, you can't be stunned again. It's the same for enemies!
Potions don't heal you instantly, but over time. You can also run while drinking, but if you perform any action like rolling or attacking you stop drinking. (Damage by monsters doesn't, but often they try to stun you).
When you die, you respawn at the next spawn point. But you are injured and have reduced maximum health for a few minutes. The health debuff is indicated by band-aids on your back.
Fortunately, you can remove the "injured" debuff by eating something. Mmmm... ginseng soup. :)
You can also sit...
... and sleep. Fun fact: Cube World characters sleep on the face because they can't close their eyes.
It's now possible to tame pets if you find their favorite food.
To take a pet with you, you can equip it like an item. There's also a pet bag for your other pets, so you can swap all the time.

The weapons are daggers. They're a little shorter than warrior swords. Pet armor: maybe in the future. Slime food: I don't know yet, but yes, it should be something special like an item.

IIRC he stated on his previous post that once the game is in a playable state he's going to release an alpha for prepurchase at a reduced price, in much the same manner as Minecraft.

No, there's no maximum level. It just means that monsters below level 10 are smaller and weaker than normal.

Wollay, this game seems to become more and more real with every new feature you show us, or create. Never before have I seen the world of a video game become something really great, piece by piece. I'm eagerly awaiting the first time we are able to play Cube World, and I know it will be more than worth the wait.

I love the inclusion of sitting and sleeping. Hell. Yes. It just makes a game world so much more fun when you can do things like that.. Makes it more real and immersing, and for multiplayer, that's perfect. =D
wollay being an avid mmo player all the mmo's i see nowadays look all the same they all have the same mechanics in them and at times it gets frustrating because we want something new and then i saw this every little detail is perfect there's new mechanics and its absolutely gorgeous i would personally come to your office give you a hug (no homo) congratulate you and give you my money

Maybe these are big plans that should be left for a later date but I think I'm not alone when I say you should get this game Greenlit by Steam.
Project Zomboid managed it so I think Cube World's chances are three times as good.
I really like your approach to creating a game. Although the community is a bit impatient, I bet you feel great when you create something new and see such enthusiasm about everything! It also feels like you are making this with a lot of love and not only for the money. If only more games used such an approach, gaming would be redifined!
i cant help thinking that when he releases a beta version, all the anticipation of the game will go, i think he should perfect the game and add a few features along the way, if he released an alpha everybody would be playing and the hype would go after a few days, bu by keeping us 'til it's perfect just makes the game better

My girlfriend and I are really looking forward to playing this together. It has everything we like but I have just one question. Will you be able to plant and harvest your own garden or do you have to just pick stuff from the wild?
Currently it looks like you can only have one pet out at a time. Look at the last picture it shows that pets are equipped just like any other item and there is only one pet slot.
I think game need some pointless but fun aspect. How about treasures?
They do nothing and have no practical usage but collecting them would be a nice addition to people who want some goals in game. Myself i think that what would make game even more charming. You just don't expect to find anything in your journey, there is no list for these items (they are unknown), you just find them.
Goblets, crowns, jewelery, ancient weapons, statues, toys ANYTHING. Just make them really really rare and lot's of them.

Sorta like the statues in Terraria right!? I love collecting those and using them to identify NPC's homes. Marvelous idea!

Or, as an equally indie example (when it started), Minecraft. People have been playing it since the early Alpha stages, which grew their fan base to the mountain it is today.
It's hard to say which approach is best, but I'm sure Wollay has a good grasp of what he's doing!

I agree with Drekner- personally, I absolutely love all the little immersive details that can be packed into a game. The experience is that much more enriched, from environmental sounds to the actions you can perform.

this game looks awesome but I've been waiting from the start and I'm starting to get board of waiting. I think it's still going to be a very long time before any of us get to play this. Fell like we gettin trolled.

I like the sitting thing
Not really as statues. Something less particular and more mysterious.
It's like making a real deal for a game. You don't know what will you find or where. It's just 1 chance to million.
And i know how to make it:
There is a bunch of items. Just big list of specially type of items that do nothing. They all should have kinda interesting names like: A lost toy, Royal Goblet, Favorite Plushie, etc. In villages there is an npc (some old man) which doesn't do anything, just filler npc, but if you talk to him with that item (any treasure) he takes it and tells a history of this item (who was owner, maybe how it was gone) and it add to the journal. Anytime player can open journal and read about treasures he found, tho there is no list of items so they listed as they found, with date and place.
It's big concept and requier quite a work (i think, i dunno how's it in code) + need lot's of imagination to make variety of items, to avoid repeating like 2 exact same items just with different colors and descriptions... But what i think it will give people reason to play together, to show their treasures to others. Imagine when people played game for a while and there is already a list of items on web, people still find something that wasn't listed, just 1 new items and everyone already trying to find what is it, trying to get it. People start making up legends about items that probably never existed (like we did in childhood for old console games, about stages and game endings that nobody saw).
Please don't have the max level be 10, that would be weak.
Steam sucks, if he does this I will be less inclined to buy the game.
there is no max lvl, the big beastsies only get bigger up to lvl 10.

great features ^_^ and about the boss's you can make a Hyper powerfully rare boss's with takeing the same boss and changeing the colours of it like " Blue and purple Trolls ...etc " make them spawn after using an item that you find in dungeons or something like that ... and when you battle them there will be a timer so you should be strong enough to kill them and before the time goes zero :D

Those are for the attacks, I believe they are left click right click number keys and the Q key. Q seems to be a quick item slot.

Might I ask what races you currently have planned to be playable? So far it looks like orcs, humans, elves, dwarves, and goblins but there were also videos where you played as an undead and a lizardman. I'm really hoping for playable lizardmen.

I remember seeing the video where he plays as a lizardman, but can't find it. But I usually assume that anything he has shown in game and hasn't said he has taken it out is still in. One species you forgot was frogmen. Playable races are currently: humans, elves, dwarves, orcs, goblins, lizardmen and undead and frogmen.
Yes, Zeb is right. Default controls are:
- Abilities can be used with left and right mouse button and keys 1,2,3,4,5.
- Q is the quick item.
- TAB opens the ring menu for quick item selection
- E is for interaction (opening doors, picking up items)
- F activates the lamp
- G activates the special item (e.g. hang glider)
- Movement is WASD
- Roll is middle mouse button together with WASD
- Shift is for sprinting
- Control is for climbing
I'm planning to make the controls cuzomizable.
Enemies don't level with your character. As Corin sad, they get harder the farther away you travel from the starting point. Also bosses don't level with your character. They're just a little weaker than normal in the starting areas (level 1-9), so new players with low equipment have a chance. From level 10 on, you need to have really good weapons, armor and skill to beat a boss.
