A Small Update: Dual wielding
Currently I'm working on the multiplayer mode and hope to make a video of it soon. In the meanwhile I can just post screenshots, so here are a few. New features: Dual wielding, new sprites, improved running animations, more varied terrain coloring.
The idea of dual wielding is: each attack deals fewer damage but is very fast and allows for faster combo point buildup.
do blocks fall when theres nothing holding them in the ground? oh and why dont u make instead of voxels in the floor when player dies.. make a model of his face whit eyes closed and use the original body
I'm planning to add one-handed weapons and two-handed weapons. One-handed weapons have a lower DPS but can be dual-wielded or used in combination with a shield. When dual-wielding the weapons are swung one after another while holding the attack button.
And yes, you can combine different weapon types. There will also be daggers.
@skully172 Currently the blocks are fixed in the air when nothing is holding them on the ground. Maybe I'm gonna address this in the future. I'd like to keep the dying animation with the voxels for now. It just shows that everything in the Cube World is made up of cubes.

Absolutely amazing. I really love the concept of dual wielding, as well. This is just shaping up to be a very good game. :x

Is there a difference in damage per weapon since you swing two now, or is it the combined damage of both?
Does it count as two hits, or one? I noticed it said 2 hits in the one picture but that could have been the second hit to the creature.
I would assume for this game they are both swung with the same button as swinging one, and swing at the same time?

I reckon it could be a good addition if you added some sort of locking on for when you are fighting, kinda like Legend of Zelda Style.
Will there be a custom character creation like you start out with a basic model and add hair cloths ect.
I hope the bestiary grow up.
