This is my old development blog for my project Cube World.
There is now an official site: picroma.com.

Cube World: New Video
Here is a new short video demonstrating new features like water, trees and improved animations:
Very smooth and must say the sound in the background is pretty cool like the birds and such. Nice to see even early on. The water splash I thought was cool. Among other things too. Keep it up.
@IMakeWeirdThings I'm glad that you like it. On my four years old iMac (running WinXP) which has a 2.4GHz CPU and a Radeon HD 2600 PRO, it runs at 100-150 frames/sec and uses 100-300MB RAM. Things like the viewing distance and level of detail are adjustable, so the minimum requirements are probably lower. I'm also planning a Mac version.
Thanks. Yes pseudo-randomly: The world you get depends on a seed number that you can specify at the beginning, so you can share your favorite one with others.

Nice to see the game progressing so fast ^^

I think you should make a forum for this.
Thanks everyone. @Anonymous I will create a forum when I have a playable demo ready.
WE WANT UPDATES MORE REGURARLY!
Wow, your game is really beautiful, I really like the minimal use of textures. What kind of specs do you reckon it will eventually need to run?

Like how the player angles a little when he makes a turn ^^
Cool that you noticed it. :) I'm currently tuning the animations a little more and hope to post an update soon.
Looks really good, will the worlds be randomly generated or not?
