This is my old development blog for my project Cube World.
There is now an official site: picroma.com.
The game is still in development and not available for download. Be careful of fake downloads.
Very smooth and must say the sound in the background is pretty cool like the birds and such. Nice to see even early on. The water splash I thought was cool. Among other things too. Keep it up.
the water looks awesome :) the swimming animation is great aswell :D maybe add some water splashing around when the character is swimming :) Nice to see the game progressing so fast ^^
This is looking really good man, keep up the great work!
I think you should make a forum for this.
Thanks everyone. @Anonymous I will create a forum when I have a playable demo ready.
WE WANT UPDATES MORE REGURARLY!
Wow, your game is really beautiful, I really like the minimal use of textures. What kind of specs do you reckon it will eventually need to run?
@Anonymous :P@IMakeWeirdThingsI'm glad that you like it. On my four years old iMac (running WinXP) which has a 2.4GHz CPU and a Radeon HD 2600 PRO, it runs at 100-150 frames/sec and uses 100-300MB RAM. Things like the viewing distance and level of detail are adjustable, so the minimum requirements are probably lower. I'm also planning a Mac version.
Like how the player angles a little when he makes a turn ^^
Cool that you noticed it. :) I'm currently tuning the animations a little more and hope to post an update soon.
Looks really good, will the worlds be randomly generated or not?
Thanks. Yes pseudo-randomly: The world you get depends on a seed number that you can specify at the beginning, so you can share your favorite one with others.
would this work on my laptop -- following specs are mine:1.6 cpu speed2gb ram40 GB memory ati radeon xpress 200m series ..? i hope it works?
am i the only one who's ears hurt liike shitzwhen he hit the water? D:
